Are you ready to lead the application of AI in power systems? ISO New Englands Advanced Technology Solutions (ATS) department, the R&D engine driving innovation across the region's power grid and the industry, is seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer to support our Grid AI Innovation initiative. This is a unique opportunity to bridge cutting-edge artificial intelligence with mission-critical power system challenges and shape the future of grid reliability and resilience.
As a Senior Applied AI Engineer, you will operate at the intersection of power systems engineering and enterprise AI. You will design, develop, and deploy production-grade AI solutions, including generative AI and agent-based systems that directly impact New Englands energy infrastructure. Youll collaborate with stakeholders across Operations, Planning, Markets, and IT to identify high-value use cases, architect scalable solutions, and ensure responsible AI practices throughout the lifecycle. This role is perfect for someone who combines deep technical expertise in both power systems and modern AI technologies.

What we are looking for

The expected salary range for this position is $141,000 - $171,000 per year.
