Job Title: Senior Application Programmer – Mainframe Systems 941
Location: Downey, CA 90242
Shift: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Assignment type: Temporary - 12 months w/ high chance of extension or hire
Pay rate: $60-$65/hour

Description:

• Leads and supports complex mainframe application design, development, testing, implementation, and maintenance.
• Analyzes requirements, designs system architecture, develops/debugs code, tests applications, and ensures software quality and security.
• Creates technical documentation, integrates systems, evaluates technologies, and supports application functionality.

Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of application development, software design, databases, systems engineering, and mainframe environments.
• 7+ years of experience in electronic data processing systems design and programming.
• Experience with COBOL, Natural/Supernatural, IMS/DB/DC, DB2/SQL, Assembler, SAS, CICS, or MF FOCUS.
• Experience with MVS JCL, TSO/ISPF, IBM OPTIM, File Manager, SPUFI, SORT, VSAM, CA Endevor, WebSphere, and related mainframe tools.
• Experience with DB2, IMS, ADABAS, FOCUS, and z/OS.
• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field; equivalent experience may substitute year-for-year.

Additional Requirement:

• 7+ years of IMS/DB2/COBOL/CICS programming experience in a mainframe environment.
