Senior Application Developer

This role requires a well-rounded developer capable of working independently, contributing to technical planning and solution design, and providing mentorship and technical guidance to other team members. Experience with GIT, GITHUB, AZURE, C#, NET 1.1 to current, ASP, JavaScript, Knockout, JSON, API, Node.js, Azure Pipelines, REACT, and REDUX.

Position Type: Initially remote but eventually in-office

Job Overview

The Senior Application Developer will design, develop, test, implement, and maintain applications across multiple project areas. This role requires a well-rounded developer capable of working independently, contributing to technical planning and solution design, and providing mentorship and technical guidance to other team members.

Job Duties

• Design, develop, test, implement, and maintain software applications across multiple projects.
• Perform technical planning, analysis, and solution design for application development initiatives.
• Develop and maintain web applications and software using a variety of programming languages and development tools.
• Develop reports and application functionality using HTML and other appropriate technologies.
• Perform unit and system testing and create supporting test documentation.
• Create technical documentation describing application functionality, testing methods, and business or functional workflows.
• Apply software reusability guidelines and identify opportunities to improve development practices.
• Use version control tools to manage source code and technical documentation.
• Work independently to complete assigned development tasks efficiently with minimal supervision.
• Provide technical guidance and formal mentorship to peers and lower-level staff through verbal instruction and technical documentation.
• Adapt to new tools and technologies and provide constructive recommendations for improving development processes.

Required Skills

• Bachelor's degree with at least 4 years of experience.
• 7+ years of experience with solutions design, project technical planning, analysis and design, communication, testing, and implementation.
• 7+ years of experience recommending software reusability guidelines.
• Experience with MS SQL Developer. 
• Experience in Enterprise Data Modeling. 
• Experience with GIT, GITHUB, AZURE, C#, .NET 1.1 to current, ASP, JavaScript, Knockout, JSON, API, Node.js, Azure Pipelines, REACT, and REDUX.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server. 
• Experience with manual QA testing processes.
