Job Title: Senior Application Developer

Location: Remote

Duration: 6-12 months (with a possibility of extension)

 

Job Description Summary

  • The Senior Developer will lead the design, development, integration, and support of enterprise software applicati6-12 ons across complex client environments. This role requires strong full-stack development experience with Microsoft technologies, including C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, RESTful APIs, SQL Server, and cloud-native Azure services. The ideal candidate will be capable of translating business requirements into scalable, secure, and maintainable software solutions while contributing to architecture, coding standards, and delivery execution.
  • This position will serve as a technical lead for application development initiatives, working closely with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, client IT teams, vendors, and cross-functional development teams. Responsibilities include requirements analysis, solution design, backend and frontend development, database design, API integrations, system modernization, troubleshooting, production support, and mentoring other developers. The role also requires experience supporting mission-critical applications, managing integrations with external systems, and delivering solutions under tight timelines and changing requirements.
  • The Senior Developer should have hands-on experience with enterprise architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, CQRS, microservices, multi-tier web applications, Windows services, web APIs, and secure identity/authentication models. Experience with Azure services such as Azure DevOps, API Management, Key Vault, Managed Identity, Application Insights, Bicep, and CI/CD pipelines is highly desirable.
  • The successful candidate will bring strong database skills with SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, and T-SQL, along with experience building and maintaining high-availability, data-driven applications. Additional value includes experience with Agile/Scrum delivery, software development lifecycle practices, vendor/API integrations, application modernization, production incident response, and regulated or compliance-driven environments such as public safety, healthcare, government, or enterprise operations.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead design, development, testing, deployment, and support of enterprise web, desktop, and cloud applications.
  • Translate business and technical requirements into scalable application architecture and working software.
  • Develop solutions using C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, REST APIs, SQL Server, and Azure technologies.
  • Design and implement integrations with internal systems, third-party platforms, vendor applications, and external agency systems.
  • Build and maintain secure APIs, authentication flows, database objects, and backend services.
  • Support production applications, troubleshoot incidents, and maintain service levels for critical systems.
  • Apply clean coding practices, SOLID principles, SDLC standards, Agile/Scrum practices, and CI/CD automation.
  • Collaborate with client stakeholders, business users, IT teams, developers, and vendors.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, documentation, and knowledge transfer to development teams.

 

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Senior-level experience in software engineering, full-stack development, or application architecture.
  • Strong C#, .NET/.NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, RESTful API, and SQL development experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL, Oracle, PL/SQL, and T-SQL.
  • Experience designing integrations across multiple platforms and communication protocols.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, requirements analysis, testing, deployment, and production support.
  • Experience with enterprise architecture patterns such as Clean Architecture, CQRS, microservices, web services, and multi-tier applications.
  • Azure experience including Azure DevOps, API Management, Key Vault, Managed Identity, Application Insights, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Ability to lead teams, communicate with stakeholders, and deliver software in complex client environments.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in government, public safety, healthcare, or other regulated environments.
  • Experience with identity platforms such as Microsoft Entra ID, OAuth2/OIDC, JWT, and secure API authentication.
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as TypeScript, Svelte/SvelteKit, Tailwind CSS, Knockout, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience with mobile or desktop application development using WPF, Xamarin, .NET MAUI, iOS, Android, or related technologies.
  • Experience with healthcare interoperability, FHIR, HL7, or Epic integrations.
  • Experience modernizing legacy applications and supporting large production application portfolios.
