Key Responsibilities

• Select and manage a team of data modernization and informatics staff.
• Lead strategic planning and implementation processes.
• Oversee data infrastructure improvements to enhance interoperability and support the development of reporting and visualizations.
• Ensure modernization efforts improve data timeliness, quality, and coordination, while integrating emerging and open-source technologies.
• Collaborate with experts to assess and enhance the agency's data environment and strategy.

Requirements

• Ten (10) plus years of professional experience in health or related data or systems management.
• Experience working with public health agencies to modernize legacy data infrastructures.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Management Information Systems, or Information Technology.
• US Citizenship is required.

Preferences

• Master's degree in public health, health informatics, data science, or a related field.

Work hours are from 7:00 AM CT to 6:00 PM CT. This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing you to enjoy both remote and on-site work in beautiful Louisiana.
