Senior Analyst

Position Summary:

The Senior Financial Analyst serves as a trusted financial partner to clinical and operational leadership across the organization. This role is responsible for delivering complex financial analyses, meaningful performance reporting, and actionable insights that support data-driven decision making throughout the organization. Candidate must be a highly analytical and detail-oriented professional who can independently manage complex projects, provide leadership within the analytics team, and effectively communicate financial information to stakeholders at all levels. Success in this role requires strong analytical, communication, and project management skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities and build effective working relationships across the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive financial and operational analyses supporting physician practices, hospital departments, and clinical service lines.

• Develop, maintain, and distribute routine and ad hoc financial reports to support management decision-making.

• Conduct variance analyses, identify key performance drivers, and provide recommendations for operational and financial improvement.

• Monitor historical and current trends to identify opportunities, risks, and emerging issues.

• Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of financial and operational data through implementations, data testing, validation processes and ongoing audits.

• Extract, validate, and analyze data from multiple source systems to support reporting and decision-support initiatives.

• Mentor and support the professional development of other analysts within the department.

• Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for financial reporting and analytics.

• Proactively manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and projects while maintaining a high level of accuracy and accountability.

• Understand and communicate upstream and downstream impacts across interconnected systems and reporting processes.

Position Qualification:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Analytics, or related field is required.

Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential to this role. The qualified applicant must have effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a highly collaborative team environment, as well as independently taking initiative and leadership in moving projects forward.

Healthcare experience working with data from various sources including but not limited to Cost Accounting, Decision Support, General Ledger, Payroll, Physician Practice Billing, Patient Accounting and Supply Chain, is preferred. Experience with Strata is highly preferred.
