ACTUAL JOB TITLE: Senior AI Engineer (Copilot Studio & Power Platform)
 
Seeking a hands-on Senior AI Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Copilot Studio, Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven), Power Automate, SharePoint Online.
The role will develop, deploy, and support AI agents, business applications, and automation solutions. Experience with Google Gemini, RAG solutions, and API-based integrations is a plus. Strong software development, problem-solving, and stakeholder collaboration skills are required.
 
Qualification
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • Strong software development background with experience delivering enterprise applications.
  • Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot Studio, or related certifications are a plus.
 
Experience Needed
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 3+ years of Power Platform development experience.
  • Hands-on experience building and deploying Microsoft Copilot Studio agents.
  • Experience integrating applications through APIs, connectors, and enterprise data sources.
  • Experience developing business applications using Power Apps and Power Automate.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to deliver production solutions.

  • Building, configuring, testing, and deploying Copilot Studio agents.
  • Agent instruction design and prompt engineering.
  • Knowledge source configuration and management.
  • Agent publishing to Teams, SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 channels.
  • Agent troubleshooting, monitoring, and optimization.
 
Integration Development
  • Integrating Copilot Studio agents with internal applications and data sources.
  • REST APIs and web services.
  • Custom connectors.
  • Workflow orchestration using Power Automate.
 
Power Platform
  • Power Apps Canvas Apps.
  • Power Apps Model-Driven Apps.
  • Dataverse.
  • Power Automate cloud flows.
  • Solution deployment and environment management.
 
SharePoint Online
  • SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, and permissions.
  • SharePoint Online administration and configuration.
  • Using SharePoint as a knowledge source for Copilot Studio agents.

Project Summary
  • The contractor will support the development and expansion of enterprise AI solutions built on Microsoft Copilot Studio, Microsoft Power Platform, and SharePoint Online.
  • The primary focus will be the hands-on development of AI agents, integrations, and business applications that improve employee productivity, automate business processes, and provide intelligent access to organizational knowledge.
  • The engineer will also assist with development and support of Google Gemini-based solutions and prototypes where appropriate.
 
Department Summary
The team partners with Global Communications and Policy organizations to deliver innovative AI and digital workplace solutions. The group develops AI-powered applications, intelligent agents, automation solutions, and collaboration platforms using Microsoft 365 technologies.
The team focuses on rapidly delivering business value through practical implementation of AI technologies rather than enterprise architecture or platform strategy.
 
Responsibilities
The contractor will:
  • Design, build, test, and deploy Copilot Studio agents.
  • Configure and maintain agent knowledge sources.
  • Create agent integrations with internal business applications.
  • Develop custom connectors and Power Automate workflows.
  • Build and maintain Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).
  • Develop Dataverse-based solutions.
  • Configure and enhance SharePoint Online sites, libraries, and lists.
  • Support deployment of AI solutions to Teams and SharePoint.
  • Develop Gemini Gems and Gemini-based AI solutions as needed.
  • Troubleshoot production issues and implement enhancements.
  • Work directly with business stakeholders to understand requirements.
  • Translate business requirements into working solutions.
  • Participate in testing, documentation, and user support activities.
  • Follow organizational security, compliance, and governance requirements.
  • Contribute reusable components, templates, and development standards.
