Job Summary:
We are looking for a Senior Aerospace Value Engineering & Manufacturing Optimization Engineer to support complex aerospace and defense programs. The role will focus on Design for Manufacturing (DFM), design-to-cost, product redesign, and should-cost analysis.
The engineer will work with engineering teams, aerospace customers, and suppliers to support new product development, cost-reduction initiatives, aftermarket sustainment, and manufacturing transitions while maintaining product performance, quality, reliability, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and value engineering initiatives.
• Perform design-to-cost and should-cost analysis for aerospace products.
• Evaluate product designs, manufacturing processes, and supplier cost structures.
• Support product redesign and cost-reduction projects.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and cross-functional teams.
• Support new product development and manufacturing transition activities.
• Ensure quality, reliability, performance, and aerospace requirements are maintained.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Strong experience in aerospace manufacturing, value engineering, or manufacturing optimization.
• Hands-on experience with DFM, design-to-cost, cost reduction, and should-cost analysis.
• Experience working with manufacturing processes and supplier cost structures.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Experience supporting military or aerospace products is highly relevant.
