Job Description

Naval Nuclear Laboratory is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Senior Administrative Assistant to join our team. As a Senior Administrative Assistant, you will be responsible for coordinating travel, issuing official correspondence, managing calendars, and performing a variety of other administrative tasks.

 

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate travel arrangements for senior management and staff, including booking flights, hotels, rental cars, and other travel-related services.
• Prepare and issue official correspondence, including letters, memos, and reports, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with established guidelines and procedures.
• Manage calendars for senior management and staff, scheduling appointments, meetings, and other events as needed.
• Answer and screen phone calls and emails, directing inquiries to the appropriate personnel and providing information as needed.
• Maintain files and records, ensuring that documents are organized and easily accessible.
• Provide general administrative support, including photocopying, faxing, scanning, and mailing documents, as well as ordering office supplies and equipment.

Required Combination of Knowledge and Skill

High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Associates degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience; or Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in a related field.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating corporate travel and working with travel?booking systems such as Concur or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate and take initiative on tasks without direction
  • Strong customer-service mindset
  • Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor in a fast paced and occasionally stressful environment

Pay Range

$52,300.00 - $78,500.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
