Senior Accounting Manager

This highly visible, fully on‑site leadership role offers direct exposure to executive leadership and the opportunity to influence financial reporting, operational decision‑making, process improvement initiatives, and the organization's continued growth.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reportingPrepare and review financial statements, account reconciliations, and key accounting activitiesSupport budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysisSupport job‑level financial tracking, including work‑in‑progress (WIP) and project cost analysisAnalyze financial results and provide insight into operational trends and business performanceMaintain and enhance internal controls, accounting procedures, and financial processesSupport audit and compliance activitiesDrive process improvements that support scalability, efficiency, and operational effectivenessLead, mentor, and develop accounting staff across core accounting functionsPartner with executive leadership on financial and operational initiativesQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including prior experience leading, mentoring, or supervising accounting staffExperience within construction, specialty contracting, HVAC/mechanical services, manufacturing, industrial, engineering, project‑based services, homebuilding, aerospace/defense, or other operationally intensive environments is strongly preferredExperience with work‑in‑progress (WIP), job cost accounting, project accounting, percentage‑of‑completion accounting, or similar operational accounting environments is strongly preferredStrong understanding of financial reporting, month‑end close, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controlsERP system experience requiredCandidates must be comfortable working onsite full‑time in the Orlando areaBase salary generally targeted between $140,000–$160,000, depending on experience, qualifications, and overall alignment with the positionBonus opportunity based on company and individual performanceAbout UsSteadfast Executive Search LLC is a boutique search firm specializing in direct‑hire accounting and finance recruitment throughout Florida.
