About the OpportunityWe are partnering with a large company seeking a highly experienced Senior Accounting Manager to provide interim accounting support. This consultant will play a key role in supporting the accounting function during month‑end close, with a focus on general ledger activities, debt accounting, and balance sheet review processes. The engagement requires a hands‑on leader who can step in quickly, review complex accounting areas, and provide oversight to ensure accuracy and timeliness.Duration: 3‑4 month projectLocation: Hybrid – San Diego, CACompensation: $75‑$100 per hour, W‑2ScopeSupport core general ledger accounting activities and assist with the month‑end close processPerform and review debt‑related accounting entries and supporting documentationConduct balance sheet and flux analysis to identify and resolve variancesReview accrual journal entries and related supporting schedules for completeness and accuracyOversee liability reconciliations and ensure proper documentation and resolution of discrepanciesProvide review and guidance for work prepared by a junior accounting team memberCollaborate with the broader accounting team to maintain close timelines and reporting standardsAssist in maintaining strong internal controls and consistent accounting practices during the engagementQualifications & ExpertisePrior experience operating at a Senior Accounting Manager level or higher supporting general ledger and close processesPrior experience in a large or complex public company environmentBig 4 or national audit firm experience preferredStrong background in debt accounting and complex balance sheet reconciliationsDemonstrated experience reviewing accruals and liability‑related accounting activityAbility to review work, provide feedback, and mentor junior accounting staffProven ability to operate effectively in a fast‑paced close environment with shifting prioritiesStrong analytical skills and attention to detail when reviewing financial data and reconciliationsExcellent collaboration and communication skills when partnering across accounting teams#J-18808-Ljbffr
