Client Overview:
Our client in the fashion and retail industry is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager Consultant to join their team. This organization is looking for an experienced professional who can step in quickly and lead an exciting new global project.

Salary/Hourly Rate:
$90/hr - $95/hr

Position Overview:
The Senior Accounting Manager Consultant will support a global Lease & Fixed Asset initiative and play a key role in lease accounting, fixed asset accounting, financial reporting, process improvement, and finance transformation activities. Applicants must have strong attention to detail and analytical skills, along with experience supporting global lease and fixed asset accounting processes.

Responsibilities of the Senior Accounting Manager Consultant:
  • Support the development and transition of the global Lease & Fixed Asset Center of Excellence (COE), including lease schedules, journal entries, depreciation, asset disposals, reconciliations, and related accounting activities.
  • Manage and review lease accounting processes in CoStar, partnering with Legal, Real Estate, FP&A, Accounts Payable, and third-party providers to ensure accurate lease data, reporting, and accounting treatment.
  • Support fixed asset accounting and month-end close, including asset capitalization, depreciation, reconciliations, impairment analysis, capitalized costs, and asset roll forwards.
  • Review complex lease and capital expenditure transactions for appropriate accounting treatment under U.S. GAAP and assist with financial reporting, controls, and audit-related requirements.
  • Assist with process improvement and finance transformation initiatives, including SOP development, global controls, system administration, automation, and transition of responsibilities to shared services.
Required Experience/Skills for the Senior Accounting Manager Consultant:
  • Strong senior-level accounting background with experience in lease accounting, fixed assets, general ledger, month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Experience with SAP S/4, CoStar, SAC, and Microsoft Excel or comparable ERP and lease accounting systems.
  • Experience working across global finance teams and cross-functional departments, with an understanding of end-to-end accounting processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive process improvement and automation.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Preferred Experience/Skills for the Senior Accounting Manager Consultant:
  • IFRS knowledge.
  • Experience with global lease and fixed asset accounting processes.
Education Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
