Senior Accounting & Finance Consultant / CFO - Fractional

Our client is a growing manufacturing organization with approximately $25M in annual revenue. They are seeking a seasoned accounting professional to serve in a high-impact advisory capacity, partnering closely with the Director of Finance and ownership group. This is an opportunity to leverage deep accounting expertise, challenge existing processes, and help elevate the organization’s financial reporting and accounting operations.

What You’ll Do

• 
  
• Serve as the primary reviewer of monthly financial statements, balance sheets, and key financial ratios to ensure accuracy, compliance, and adherence to company standards
• 
  
• Analyze WIP, COGS, AP, and AR data, asking probing questions and providing actionable feedback rather than simply reviewing and approving results
• 
  
• Partner with the Director of Finance to train, coach, and elevate accounting team standards
• 
  
• Ensure financial results are fully supported, accurate, and well-justified
• 
  
• Identify opportunities to improve financial reporting and accounting processes
• 
  
• Provide recommendations for addressing ERP and legacy system limitations
• 
  
• Apply deep accounting expertise to unique systems, processes, and financial reporting challenges
• 
  
• Provide high-level financial insight and recommendations to the Director of Finance and ownership group
• 
  
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of in-house finance leadership
• 
  

What You Bring

• 
  
• 15+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• 
  
• Strong experience within a manufacturing or distribution environment
• 
  
• Demonstrated ability to perform deep-dive financial statement analysis and challenge findings when necessary
• 
  
• Strong understanding of WIP, COGS, AP, AR, balance sheets, financial statements, and key financial ratios
• 
  
• Experience reviewing financial results for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
• 
  
• Comfortable advising, coaching, and developing finance and accounting leaders
• 
  
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with the ability to ask the right questions and identify issues
• 
  
• Experience improving financial reporting and accounting processes, particularly within organizations working with ERP or legacy system limitations
• 
  
• CPA is respected but not required; strong industry experience will be highly valued
•
