Description

Our client, a leading general contractor, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This role is ideal for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys partnering with operations to drive financial accuracy and performance.

  • Location: Onsite - West Chester, OH
  • Job Type: Direct Hire
  • Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000

Job Responsibilities

  • Own month-end close processes for assigned entities and functional areas.
  • Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations prepared by staff.
  • Prepare complex accounting entries, including accruals, estimates, and reclassifications.
  • Support ASC 606 revenue recognition and cost-to-complete analysis.
  • Partner with operations on job cost accounting matters.
  • Lead BlackLine reconciliation quality reviews and completion tracking.
  • Exercise independent judgment on account classifications and accrual estimates.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 4+ years of accounting experience in Corporate Accounting or Construction Accounting.
  • Proficient knowledge of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working for a publicly traded company or an organization subject to SEC reporting requirements
  • CPA license or actively pursuing CPA.
  • Experience mentoring junior staff and presenting to leadership.
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition, leases, consolidations, and BlackLine.
