    Description

    Senior Accountant

    CooperDouglas is partnering with a leading manufacturing company to hire a Senior Accountant to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to step into a hands-on role during a period of rapid growth. You will own key pieces of the monthly close, drive reconciliationand standardization work across newly integrated entities, and play a meaningful part in preparing the company for its upcoming audit. This is a high-visibility role that partners closely with accounting leadership.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Execute assigned areas of the month-end close on schedule, continuously improving speed and accuracy across the close calendar.
    • Prepare detailed account reconciliations for review, including bank, AR, AP, prepaids, fixed asset depreciation, inventory, and intercompany accounts.
    • Support monthly flux analysis, gathering and documenting explanations for P&L and balance sheet variances at the entity level.
    • Assist with retrospective clean-up of GL coding across acquired entities to support migration to a unified chart of accounts.
    • Maintain a clear, audit-ready trail for all entries, including supporting schedules and memos for non-routine adjustments, and execute year-end cut-off procedures.
    • Support inventory accounting, including standard cost variance reviews and physical inventory counts at production facilities.
    • Produce weekly revenue and cash flow reporting to analyze performance against budget and forecast near-term cash movement.
    • Help document existing processes and identify opportunities to build more scalable, standardized workflows.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
    • 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience; a blend of public accounting audit (Big 4 or national firm) and private industry is strongly preferred.
    • Solid working knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to apply it to routine transactions independently.
    • Experience navigating multiple ERP environments and executing journal entries; advanced Excel skills strongly preferred.
    • Comfortable in a fast-moving, evolving environment with newly acquired entities and developing processes.
    • Detail-oriented and proactive, with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

    This is an onsite role in Torrance.

    Compensation range $110,000-128,000 + Bonus + Competitive Benefits Package
