    Senior Accountant

    Position Summary

    We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Accounting & Finance Manager to lead our accounting function and support the organization's financial operations. This role is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, managing the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and providing leadership to the accounting team. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong technical accounting expertise, excellent analytical skills, and a passion for driving operational excellence.

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • CPA designation (or equivalent) preferred.
    • Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting and finance experience.
    • Strong knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
    • Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
    • Understanding of accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory compliance.
    • Proven leadership experience with the ability to coach and develop teams.
    • Proficiency with ERP/accounting systems and Microsoft Excel;experience with financial reporting and analytics tools is an asset.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Oversee the preparation and review of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
    • Manage the financial close process and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
    • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
    • Monitor compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and company policies.
    • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions.
    • Review and approve journal entries and key accounting transactions.
    • Support audits, tax compliance, and other financial reporting requirements.
    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiency.
    • Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team while fostering collaboration across the organization.

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
    • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experienced with ERP/accounting systems.
