Senior Accountant | St. Louis, MO
We're currently partnered with a top public accounting firm in the St. Louis area that is looking to add a Senior Accountant to their growing team.
This is a strong opportunity for someone who wants to take on more responsibility within engagements, work closely with clients, and continue building both technical and leadership skills in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.
What you'll be doing:
Leading and completing compilation, review, and audit engagements
Assisting with planning and execution of attest engagements
Evaluating internal controls and performing audit testing
Communicating directly with clients to gather and clarify information
Supervising and mentoring staff accountants on engagements
Preparing various tax returns (corporate, partnership, individual, fiduciary) as needed
Supporting special projects and firm initiatives
What they're looking for:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting
2+ years of public accounting experience
CPA or CPA-eligible preferred
Strong understanding of GAAP, GAAS, and financial reporting
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
