Job Details
Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join a collaborative accounting team supporting a fast-paced, mission-driven organization. This individual will play a key role in the monthly close process, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and maintaining the accuracy of the general ledger while partnering with stakeholders across the business.
Responsibilities include:
Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations.
Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Analyze financial results and investigate account variances.
Assist with financial reporting and audit support.
Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and internal accounting policies.
Partner with FP&A and cross-functional business teams on accounting matters.
Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls.
Participate in special projects and system or process improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
Experience with month-end close, general ledger accounting, and reconciliations.
CPA or CPA-track preferred.
Experience working in a complex corporate, technology, healthcare, life sciences, or research environment is a plus.
Strong Excel skills and experience with ERP systems.
