We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join our energetic team in the Retail/wholesale industry. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to bring your expertise to a thriving and fast-paced setting. The successful candidate will play a significant role in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of our business, including cash applications, cash reconciliation, payables, and vendor management.

Responsibilities:

1. Overseeing all cash applications and cash reconciliation processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
2. Managing payables and ensuring all financial obligations are met in a timely manner.
4. Preparing accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
5. Assisting with budget preparation and financial planning processes.
6. Ensuring compliance with all internal policies and relevant regulations and ensuring all accounting activities align with the set financial laws and guidelines.
7. Proactively analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports in an accurate and timely manner.
8. Collaborating with the financial team and other business units to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
9. Participating in special projects and performing ad hoc analysis and reporting as required.

Qualifications:

1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or CPA would be a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in the wholesale industry.
3. Proficiency in cash applications, cash reconciliation, payables, and vendor management.
4. Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulations.
5. Excellent analytical skills with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Strong computer skills, particularly with accounting software, spreadsheets, and financial analysis tools.
7. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present financial information and complex financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
8. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
9. Ability to work independently, manage large, complex projects, and meet deadlines.
