Job Title: Senior Accountant
Location: Ogden-Clearfield Metro Area, UT 84401
Hire Type: Direct Hire
Salary: $90,000 - $100,000

Sterling Engineering is partnered with a global manufacturing organization seeking a Senior Accountant to join their finance team. This individual will play a key role in financial reporting, month-end close activities, inventory accounting, and manufacturing cost analysis while partnering closely with operations and leadership teams. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and is looking for long-term career growth within a stable organization.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements and reports
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Support inventory accounting and manufacturing cost activities
  • Partner with operations and leadership teams to improve financial performance
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, internal controls, and company policies
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements
  • Experience working with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Cost accounting and/or inventory accounting experience strongly preferred
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
