Senior Accountant – Nonprofit & Grant Accounting
Location: Indianapolis, IN (Onsite)
Type: Long-Term Contract | Potential for Direct Hire
Salary: $75,000+ (Based on Experience)

Pro Resources is partnering with a well-established nonprofit organization in Indianapolis to hire a Senior Accountant with strong nonprofit and grant accounting experience. This is a long-term contract opportunity with the potential to transition into a direct hire role for the right candidate. This role is best suited for someone who understands fund accounting, grant compliance, and nonprofit financial reporting.

What You’ll Do
  • Manage full-cycle accounting including general ledger, AP/AR, and reconciliations
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements
  • Oversee grant tracking, reporting, and compliance
  • Partner with internal teams to manage grant budgets and allocations
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes
  • Assist with audit preparation and auditor coordination
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP, nonprofit standards, and funding requirements
What We’re Looking For
  • 5+ years of accounting experience
  • At least 2+ years in a nonprofit environment
  • Hands-on experience with grant accounting and fund accounting
  • Experience with SAGE Intacct or similar ERP systems preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple funding sources
Schedule
Monday–Friday
8:00 AM – 4:30 PM or 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
