Senior Accountant - Nonprofit/Affordable Housing 

A mission-driven organization based in Boston is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its finance team. This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional looking to make an impact while supporting a complex, multi-entity organization.

Compensation: $100,000-115,000 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee general ledger activity, reconciliations, and month-end close
• Manage cash activity, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Support accounting for multiple entities, including intercompany transactions
• Assist with financial reporting, audit preparation, and compliance requirements
• Maintain accounting system data and support finance operations
• Collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders on accounting and reporting needs

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA preferred
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Experience with month-end close, GAAP, financial reporting, and audit support
• Background in nonprofit, real estate, affordable housing, or multi-entity accounting is required 
• Advanced Excel skills and strong accounting systems experience
