Required Skills:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA strongly preferred
Minimum of 6 years of progressive accounting experience, including public company and SEC reporting background
Demonstrated expertise with U.S. GAAP, SEC regulations, and technical accounting (e.g., ASC 606, 718, 842)
Proven experience managing financial close cycles, SEC filings, and audit engagements
Strong knowledge of clinical trial accounting, CMC, manufacturing accounting, and revenue recognition
Ability to analyze complex transactions and operational activities
Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments
High level of organization, ownership, and accountability in a fast-paced environment
Nice to Have Skills:
Experience with SOX compliance and internal controls
Familiarity with lease accounting (ASC 842)
Previous work in biotech, life sciences, or clinical-stage companies
Knowledge of budgeting and forecasting processes for clinical and manufacturing spend
Prior experience working with CROs, CMO costs, and vendor payments
