We are engaged in a search for a Senior Accountant with a growing manufacturing organization. This position will support the Controller and assist with day to day accounting operations, month end close activities, reconciliations and financial reporting in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities include:- Prepare month end journal entries and support accurate financial close processes
- Reconcile bank accounts and maintain general ledger integrity
- Prepare internal and external reporting packages including bank and corporate reporting
- Analyze ledger activity and prepare adjusting entries for intercompany balances
- Manage and reconcile transitory bank accounts and cash activity
- Coordinate duty drawback programs with internal and external partners
- Support internal and external audits along with special accounting projects
- Assist with accounts receivable and accounts payable activities as needed
- Support training and mentorship of new team members
- Collaborate cross functionally to improve accounting processes and reporting accuracy
Qualifications:- Bachelor degree in Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP accounting standards
- SAP ledger experience preferred
- Advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills required
- Strong analytical, organizational and problem solving abilities
- Experience working in a fast paced team environment
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently
