Description

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Accountant in Malvern, PA. Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to support financial reporting, general ledger accounting, month-end close, and financial analysis activities. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, maintaining compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting knowledge, analytical skills, and experience working in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, company policies, and regulatory requirements
  • Manage general ledger activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial adjustments
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll accounting processes
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Review balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies
  • Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation
  • Develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and financial reporting procedures
  • Partner with management to provide financial analysis and recommendations
  • Mentor junior accounting staff and support team development
  • Assist with special projects and process improvement initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
  • Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business
  • CPA or other professional accounting certification
  • Experience supporting audits and financial statement preparation
  • Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
