The Senior Accountant will play a key role in strengthening the companys accounting function during a high-growth stage. This is a hands-on role responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance across reporting and controls, and driving process improvements that scale with growth. The position offers direct exposure to leadership and cross-functional teams, providing a chance to make a meaningful impact in a fast-paced tech environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily accounting activities, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and expense reporting.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Assist with revenue recognition, equity accounting, and cost allocations specific to SaaS/tech models.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and support implementation of internal controls.
- Collaborate with FP&A and operations to provide insight into cash flow, spend, and business performance.
- Partner with external auditors and advisors on tax, compliance, and audit readiness.
- Contribute to ERP/accounting system enhancements and help streamline processes as the company scales.
- Take on ad hoc projects as the finance team continues to grow and evolve.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or progress toward CPA strongly preferred).
- 36 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in tech, SaaS, or high-growth environments (public accounting foundation a plus).
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience with accounting systems (NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar); strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to adapt in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Proactive, collaborative, and eager to take ownership of projects in a scaling company.
