    Description

    Arkansas Talent Group is exclusively partnering with one of Arkansas's largest and most well-established privately held companies in the state to help them find a Senior Accountant for their organization. They are headquartered in North Little Rock. This is a rare opportunity to join a tenured, high-performing accounting team and work directly under an experienced CFO who is known for developing top accounting talent.

    The Senior Accountant will serve as a key contributor to the day-to-day and month-end accounting operations, playing an integral role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and post journal entries accurately and in compliance with GAAP
    • Own and manage the month-end and year-end close process, ensuring timely completion
    • Perform general ledger reconciliations and balance sheet account analysis
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
    • Conduct bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
    • Support intercompany reconciliations and allocations across multiple entities
    • Collaborate with the CFO and accounting team on special projects, reporting initiatives, and process improvement efforts
    • Maintain organized, audit-ready financial records and supporting documentation
    • Assist with external audit preparation and tax filing support as needed

    Ideal Candidate Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting required
    • Minimum of 2–5 years of corporate or public accounting experience
    • Strong working knowledge of GAAP and general ledger accounting
    • Experience with month-end close, financial statement preparation, and account reconciliations
    • CPA or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting ERP systems
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
    • A collaborative, team-first attitude with the ability to work independently
