    Job Title: Senior Accountant

    Job Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled professional to perform essential duties and responsibilities in the accounting and finance sector. The ideal candidate will work closely with the construction team, the Accounting/Finance Department, and other relevant departments to ensure accurate and complete financial records.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Project Cost Analysis: Prepare project cost packages, including margin analysis, in collaboration with the construction team.
    • Journal Entries and Reconciliation: Oversee the accuracy and completeness of journal entries and account reconciliations as assigned by the management team.
    • Project Leadership: Serve as the project lead when necessary, ensuring the proper preparation and documentation of related journal entries.
    • Financial Record Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of financial records, working with AR or AP to ensure the correct booking of project revenues, costs, and accruals.
    • Audit Participation: Actively participate in quarterly reviews, year-end audits, and SOX audits, including the preparation of audit support schedules and related requests.
    • Compliance: Adhere to policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure SOX 404 compliance.
    • Reporting Support: Play a key supporting role in internal and external reporting processes, including the Monthly Financial Package, Form 10-K, and Form 10-Q.
    • Process Improvement: Submit recommendations and support the development of new procedures to improve and shorten the current close process.
    • Policy Development: Contribute to the development of global accounting policies to ensure accurate financial reporting.
    • Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned.

    Qualifications:

    • Education: Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance.
    • Experience: 4+ years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Skills: Proficiency in accounting practices, attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and effective communication abilities.
    • Computer Skills:  Solid experience with full Microsoft Suite, specifically Word and Excel.  Additionally, previous experience with complex accounting systems.
