Senior Accountant

Vaco Orange County is a leading provider of accounting and finance consulting services. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Lake Forest, CA.Job Responsibilities:Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reportsPerforming monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and allocationsUpdate standard costs annually (or as needed) in collaboration with Engineering, Customer Service, and Production; validate standard costs, analyze manufacturing variances and job profitability, and recommend adjustments to enhance financial accuracySupporting the consolidation process for multiple entities and intercompany transactionsMaintain and reconcile metal inventory records and prepare monthly reportsPrepare and assist in review of monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysisMaintaining and updating the general ledger and chart of accountsEnsuring compliance with GAAP and internal controlsManage quarterly forecast and annual budgeting process for G&APrepare monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliationsReview portfolio financial statements; analyze and write variance comments for significant financial variancesSupport internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanationsAssist with complex special projects, including preparing various analysis schedule & ad hoc requestsJob Qualifications:A bachelor's degree in accounting or financerequired5 years accounting experience in Manufacturing requiredCPA or CPA candidate is a plusStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsExperience with Epicor preferredStrong knowledge of Microsoft Excel: writing formulas, pivot table, and power query (Preferred)Ability to work on a temp-to-permanent basis#J-18808-Ljbffr
