    The Opportunity
    The Senior Accountant, Intercompany Team, is responsible for overseeing and executing intercompany accounting activities across multiple legal entities and business units. This role ensures the accurate recording, reconciliation, elimination, settlement, and reporting of intercompany transactions in compliance with corporate accounting policies and US GAAP/IFRS requirements.

    The Senior Accountant serves as a subject matter expert for intercompany processes, drives process improvements, supports month-end and year-end close activities, partners with global stakeholders, and mentors junior team members to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.

    What You’ll Work On
    Key Responsibilities:

    Intercompany Accounting & Reconciliations

    • Manage and perform monthly intercompany accounting activities, including billing, cost allocations, loans, royalties, and cross-company transactions.

    • Prepare, review, and reconcile intercompany balances between domestic and international entities.

    • Investigate and resolve intercompany mismatches, reconciling items, and aging balances in a timely manner.

    • Coordinate with global finance teams to ensure intercompany transactions are properly recorded and matched.

    • Monitor intercompany settlements and support cash clearing activities.

    Financial Close & Reporting

    • Lead intercompany-related month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.

    • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

    • Ensure accurate financial reporting and elimination entries for consolidation purposes.

    • Analyze account fluctuations and provide explanations for significant variances.

    • Support management reporting and ad hoc financial

    Compliance & Controls

    • Ensure compliance with company accounting policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards.

    • Support SOX compliance activities, including control execution and documentation.

    • Assist internal and external auditors by providing requested schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.

    • Identify risks and recommend control improvements related to intercompany accounting processes.

    Process Improvement

    • Evaluate existing intercompany processes and implement improvements that increase efficiency, accuracy, and standardization.

    • Participate in ERP enhancements, system implementations, and automation initiatives.

    • Develop and maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and training materials.

    Leadership & Collaboration

    • Serve as a key point of contact for intercompany accounting matters across business units and regions.

    • Mentor and provide guidance to junior accountants and new team members.

    • Collaborate with Treasury, Tax, FP&A, Shared Services, and other finance teams to resolve accounting issues and improve processes.

    • Support special projects and strategic finance initiatives as assigned. 

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field required.

    • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

    • Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting.

    • Experience supporting audits and internal control compliance activities.

    • Strong understanding of US GAAP and/or IFRS.

    • Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.

    • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis. 

     
    Preferred Qualifications

    •  CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.

    • Experience in intercompany accounting within a multinational or shared services environment preferred.

    • Experience with financial consolidation and reconciliation tools preferred.

    The base pay for this position is

    $78,000.00 – $156,000.00

    In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
