Job Summary: PPI Quality & Engineering is partnering with Kiwa America is seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant to be part of the accounting team supporting accounting across multiple businesses. About the role:

This role will primarily support NQA US, providing broad accounting support in partnership with the Controller. Responsibilities will include daily accounting operations, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, audit support, process improvements, and special projects. The ideal candidate is adaptable, resourceful, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Location: Houston, TX 77024
Schedule: Hybrid (3 days in office / 2 days remote)
Reports To: Controller

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare journal entries and maintain general ledger accuracy.
  • Perform account, bank, and intercompany reconciliations.
  • Owns month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals, prepaids, and financial reporting.
  • Analyze account variances and prepare supporting schedules.
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Document accounting processes and identify opportunities for process improvements and stronger internal controls.
  • Support annual internal and external audits.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including AP, AR, Payroll, FP&A, Treasury, and Operations, to support Finance initiatives.
  • Provide flexible accounting support based on evolving business needs.
Do you have what it takes?:

REQUIRED

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • 7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and month-end close.
  • Experience preparing reconciliations and journal entries.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.

 PREFERRED

  • CPA or CPA candidate.
  • Experience supporting multiple entities ideally in a multinational setting.
  • ERP experience (Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Experience working in manufacturing, professional services, or shared services environments.
  • Experience supporting audits and internal controls.
