    Senior Accountant 
    This role will be a key partner to the Controller, taking ownership of core general ledger, close, inventory, costing, and financial reporting activities. This role combines accounting and practical manufacturing insight and process improvement. 

    Responsibilities

    • Provide daily guidance and review support to junior accounting staff and serve as backup for the Controller.

    • Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes; prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, balance sheet roll-forwards, and financial statements.

    • Oversee standard costing, job costing, WIP accounting, cycle counts, and variance analysis (labor, scrap, overhead, and margins) in partnership with plant leadership.

    • Maintain audit-ready documentation, enforce internal controls/SOPs, and assist external auditors and tax advisors with schedules and compliance requests.

    • Support ERP implementation and data clean-up while identifying opportunities to automate and standardize processes across locations.

    • Assist with cash flow forecasting, budgeting, fixed assets, operational KPIs, and ad hoc analysis for executive leadership.

      Qualifications

      • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
      • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including responsibility for close, reconciliations, and financial reporting
      • Prior manufacturing accounting experience with inventory, job costing, or work-in-process accounting
      • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, IFRS, internal controls, and financial reporting
      • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to partner at all levels
      • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
      • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
      • Ability to handle highly confidential information with discretion
