SENIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our Client is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to support financial reporting, planning, and strategic decision-making across the organization. This role partners with cross-functional teams to analyze financial performance, improve reporting capabilities, and enhance business processes while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Monitor and analyze organizational financial performance, including revenue and operational costs
Develop and maintain financial models and reports to support business decision-making
Support budgeting and forecasting processes while ensuring alignment with organizational objectives
Analyze financial results and budget variances, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes, reporting, and operational efficiency
Ensure proper revenue recognition in accordance with applicable accounting standards
Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and revenue schedules
Assist with the preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and long-term financial plans
Monitor actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying and explaining key variances
Provide financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and organizational objectives
Support month-end and year-end close activities
Identify opportunities to improve reporting capabilities and increase data visibility
Leverage data and automation tools to streamline financial processes and improve efficiency
Partner with departments across the organization to understand financial drivers and reporting requirements
Assist with the implementation and optimization of financial systems and reporting tools
Support audit activities and compliance initiatives as needed
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Senior Financial Reporting Manager
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
2-3 years of public accounting audit experience, preferably with a Big Four accounting firm
Basic knowledge of accounting principles, finance, and financial analytics
Working knowledge of accounting software applications
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office, with a strong emphasis on Microsoft Excel
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality work within established deadlines
Excellent interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate across all levels of the organization
Ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information
Demonstrated initiative, strong work ethic, and a positive, results-oriented attitude
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Big4 public accounting experience
Experience working with financial reporting systems and automation tools
