The Senior Accountant is responsible for managing accounting operations across multiple entities and funds, including financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, and supporting audit and tax compliance activities.

Responsibilities:
Use accounting software to input and track financial transactions for various entities and funds.
Maintain general ledger, cash, accounts payable and receivable, and intercompany/affiliate balances.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies timely within strict deadlines.
Perform monthly, quarterly, yearly close activities.
Communicate, collaborate, and coordinate with fund administrator to review entities' activities.
Manage cash flow, including monitoring and reporting cash balances and reconciling cash accounts.
Conduct financial analysis, calculations, and reporting, including NAV, waterfalls, and capital calls.
Analyze expenses and recommend cost control strategies.
Prepare financial statements and reports; assist with budgeting and forecasting procedures.
Assist with tax preparation and compliance and with internal and external audits.
Assist in maintaining compliance with accounting regulations, policies, and internal controls.
Support Finance team and coach, train, and mentor junior staff.
Fulfill other ad-hoc responsibilities and requests, as directed.
Manage and prioritize work tasks to meet competing deadlines.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in accounting; master's degree in accounting a plus; CPA or equivalent a plus
3-5 years of accounting experience
Some relevant experience in a private equity firm and fund accounting with many entities
Solid knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards
Experience in coordinating tax planning, compliance, and working with external tax advisors
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in maintenance of records, financial analysis, and reporting
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
Ability to maintain a positive and energetic attitude while working in a deadline-oriented environment
Professional demeanor and strong communication skills, both written and oral
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel
Able to forge meaningful relationships with colleagues and partners, creating an environment of open and trusting communication
A self-starter, who can interact collaboratively, but operate independently as required
Intellectually inquisitive, analytically strong and committed to continuous learning
Flexible and fluid to promote change; able to develop and implement "best practices"
A high level of maturity and professional presence
