    Job Summary:

    Provides direct support to the Director of Accounting on all aspects relating to the GL. Responsible for journal entries, reconciliations of both the P&L and the Balance Sheet, month-end close activities related to the general ledger, and accruals. Assists with audit requests and ad hoc reporting as needed. Collaborates closely with the Director of Accounting and the Accounting Manager to investigate discrepancies and ensuretimely entry into the GL. This role requires strong analytical skills, prior GL experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles to ensure accuracy, transparency, and integrity in reporting and financial results.This position is responsible for standard Senior Accountant functions.

    Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Prepare and record monthly accruals and related journal entries, supporting the integrity of financial reporting and the month-end close process

    • Reconcile revenue data and general ledger activity, investigating and resolving discrepancies as needed.

    • Assist with process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability of the GL process.

    • Lead key aspects of the month-end and year-end close process, including preparing and posting journal entries and completing account reconciliations

    • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial records.

    • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies

    • Collaborate with operational teams to ensure proper accounting treatment of transactions

    • Assist with process improvements, automation initiatives, and system implementations as needed

    • Perform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by management

    Required Experience:

    Skills/Abilities:

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, data analysis, and reconciliation of large datasets

    • Experience working with JD Edwards

    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail

    • Ability to identify process improvements and implement more efficient workflows

    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

    • Ability to work effectively both independently and in a team environment

    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Finance, and leadership teams

    • Dependable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented

    • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and evolving work environment

    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

    • 5+ years of progressiveaccounting experience

    Prior experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

    • Experience supporting month-end close processes, including preparation journal entries and account reconciliations

    • Previous experience working with auditors and managing audit deadlines

    • Excel skills required: pivot tables, v-lookups, formulas
