Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen with our client, a leading company in the professional services industry, renowned for its commitment to innovation and financial excellence. We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Accountant/Finance Consultant to join their dynamic team. This role is ideal for an experienced finance professional eager to drive process improvements and support key financial operations, particularly in close support, audit reporting, and implementation projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate, input, and validate key financial data, including revenue and sales, ensuring accuracy in the close package.

- Audit final close packages, performing detailed analysis and validation against prior year data, budgets, and forecasts to ensure consistency and accuracy.

- Review deferred balances and collaborate with business units to confirm and validate invoice balances align with financial statements.

- Oversee the Fixed Asset subledger and capitalization process, ensuring accurate asset tracking and reporting.

- Validate revenue recognition for Point-of-Sale (POS) sales and track B2B sales alongside recognition of related invoices.

- Partner with senior analysts and the Controller on various close activities and support month-end and year-end closing processes.

- Prepare and audit financial statements and supporting documentation, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal controls.

- Validate account mapping and prepare Provided by Client (PBC) schedules as required for audit purposes.

- Support ad hoc financial requests related to the ongoing implementation of Microsoft Dynamics and contribute to change management initiatives.

Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.

- 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or financial consulting, ideally within a mid-to-large organization.

- Strong expertise in financial close processes, revenue recognition, and audit coordination.

- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (experience with Microsoft Dynamics highly desirable).

- Advanced analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and the ability to interpret complex financial data.

- Proven ability to collaborate across teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

- Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
