Senior Accountant

The Big Task

Thornton & Grooms is looking for an experienced, detail-oriented Senior Accountant to support our Controller and help ensure accurate, timely financial reporting. This position will reconcile general ledger accounts, assist with month-end closing, manage accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, and provide backup support for payroll.

What You’ll Do

• Reconcile general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close
• Process customer payments and deposits
• Participate in accounts receivable collections
• Process vendor invoices and payments
• Reconcile vendor statements
• Assist with financial statement preparation
• Research and explain budget variances
• Assist with job-cost analysis
• Support the Controller and other departments as needed

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or comparable experience
• Three to five years of accounting experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to handle sensitive company information with discretion and integrity
• Experience with ServiceTitan or accounting software is a plus
