Our client, a growing manufacturing organization, is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This position will play a key role in month-end close, financial reporting, cost accounting support, inventory analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys partnering with operations and leadership teams to drive financial accuracy and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes.
Prepare and analyze journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analyses.
Assist with inventory accounting, inventory reconciliations, and cycle count reviews.
Support cost accounting activities, including standard costing, product costing, and manufacturing variance analysis.
Prepare financial statements and management reporting packages.
Monitor and maintain fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and accruals.
Partner with operations, supply chain, and plant leadership to provide financial insights and reporting.
Assist with annual audits and coordinate requests with external auditors.
Evaluate and improve accounting processes, internal controls, and reporting efficiencies.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within manufacturing.
Strong understanding of month-end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing accounting preferred.
Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and data analysis.
Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.
CPA designation or CPA-track is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Pay Details: $90,000.00 to $110,000.00 per year
