Senior Accountant- Conroe, TX
Seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance and accounting team. This role will support the accounting function across multiple development projects and entities. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of construction accounting experience and a strong understanding of GAAP, ASC, and POC. Experience with development accounting is a strong plus.
Senior Accountant Responsibilities:- Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close process
- Prepare and review account reconciliations
- Support project and construction accounting, including WIP reporting
- Assist with lender funding and reporting
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, ASC and company policies
- Maintain organized financial and project documentation
- Support the preparation of internal financial reporting
- Assist in the management and reconciliation of intercompany transactions
- Provide support to accounting staff and assist with workflow management
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate project cost tracking
- Support process improvements and maintain strong internal controls
- Perform additional accounting and finance duties as needed
Senior Accountant Qualifications:- Bachelors degree in accounting or finance is a plus
- 3-5 years of construction accounting experience
- Strong understanding of GAAP, ASC and POC accounting standards for revenue recognition
- Experience with development accounting is a plus
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Experience with intercompany accounting and reconciliations
- Proficiency in Excel and accounting software
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
