Description

Job Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team. This role will be responsible for overseeing core accounting functions, including general ledger management, month-end close, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, proficiency in QuickBooks, and a hands-on understanding of construction or manufacturing industry accounting practices.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash management.
Lead and execute month-end and year-end close procedures with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and balance sheet reconciliations.
Own the reconciliation process and conduct audits to identify and analyze trends or discrepancies.
Assist with audit preparation and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Collaborate with HR on payroll accounting and reporting.
Drive process improvements and implement best-in-class accounting practices.
Partner with leadership to provide insights on financial strategy and operational performance.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field (required).
Minimum 6 years of accounting experience, preferably in a leadership or supervisory role.
Proven expertise in month-end close, reconciliations, and audit preparation.
Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
In-depth knowledge of GAAP, accrual accounting, and financial reporting.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to spot trends and drive financial clarity.
Industry experience in construction or manufacturing is strictly required; candidates outside these sectors will not be considered.
