As a Senior Accountant, you will support analyzing operations, perform month-end accounting close, maintain the accounting system and ledger, and analyze inventory valuations in the IFC operating group.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Close: Lead monthly financial close including preparing and reviewing complex Journal Entries and AccrualsAccount Reconciliation: General ledger, bank statements, & 3 financial statement reconciliations on a daily/weekly/monthly basisFinancial Reporting: Preparation of Statements, Consolidated Reports & Flux Analysis every month of all line items in the ledgerCompliance & Auditing: Maintain adherence to US GAAP, document internal controls, and organize schedules and documentation for external auditorsTeam Guidance: Mentor and review work for staff accountants serving as a technical resource for day-to-day accounting challengesAdhoc Field Support: Provide accounting support to field organization
Required Education and Experience
Must have strong communication skills, be a team player and coachable, and a self-starter. Exceptional at managing competing priorities. Ability to comfortably work in a high-volume environment and manage multiple projects for FCG's various brand companies.Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Finance; or Economics (CPA Preferred).3 to 5+ years progressive corporate accounting experience or equivalent public experience.Self-starter; ability to effectively work independently and as a team player.Strong, current expertise in US GAAP accounting and SEC reporting rules and regulations.Excellent customer-facing experience and strong communication skills.Skilled and proficient with Microsoft Excel; experience in Epicor Profit21 and/or Quickbooks is a plus.Ability to work in an ambiguous environment.Must be able to fluently read, write, and speak English.
