Senior Accountant
A growing multi-site organization is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its corporate accounting team. This role is responsible for supporting the organization's accounting and finance functions through financial reporting, general ledger maintenance, cash management, account reconciliations, audit support, and month-end close activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in corporate accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and record monthly journal entries for multiple operating locations.
- Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
- Reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Prepare monthly trial balances and financial reporting packages.
- Assist with the preparation of management reports and financial analyses.
- Perform daily cash management activities, including liquidity monitoring and cash forecasting.
- Support banking activities, wire transfers, and treasury-related functions.
- Maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with GAAP.
- Assist with quarterly and annual audits by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
- Provide support for corporate tax filings and related compliance requirements.
- Coordinate information requests from banking partners and external stakeholders.
- Monitor accounts receivable activity and assist with collection efforts on past-due balances.
- Review customer credit information and maintain related documentation.
- Assist with insurance renewals and other corporate compliance initiatives.
- Partner with departments across the organization to fulfill accounting and finance-related requests.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency and strengthen internal controls.
- Support additional ad hoc projects and financial analyses as needed.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
- 5+ years of progressive corporate accounting experience.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
- Experience with month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Preferred
- Experience supporting multi-entity or multi-location organizations.
- Exposure to treasury, cash management, or banking activities.
- Experience working with external auditors and tax professionals.
- Familiarity with ERP and accounting systems.
- Manufacturing, industrial, distribution, or related industry experience is a plus.
