Senior Accountant

About the Company Hiring: Our client is an global manufacturing company headquartered in Buffalo, NY.

About the Job: The Senior Corporate Accountant will join the corporate accounting function and report directly to the Director of Corporate Accounting. This position will support financial reporting, month-end close, consolidations, intercompany accounting, sales and use tax, lease accounting, audit activities and ongoing process improvements.

The role provides exposure to a complex international organization and is well suited for an accountant looking to expand their technical accounting experience and continue progressing within a larger finance and accounting organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly and year-end close and financial reporting activities.
• Prepare account reconciliations, journal entries and supporting financial analysis.
• Assist with global consolidations, intercompany eliminations and foreign currency accounting.
• Support sales and use tax reporting and compliance.
• Maintain lease accounting information and related monthly entries and reconciliations.
• Assist with interim and year-end audit requirements.
• Support internal controls and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes.
• Assist with OneStream consolidation and other financial systems.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally including public and/or corporate accounting.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, month-end close and financial reporting.
• Experience with sales and use tax, consolidations, intercompany accounting and/or multi-entity accounting.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• CPA/MBA and manufacturing accounting experience are a plus.

Compensation: $75,000–$80,000 salary

Job Status: Direct Hire. Hybrid in Buffalo after initial training period.
