    Description

    Position Overview

    We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage full-cycle accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, tax compliance, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting.

    The ideal candidate will have strong QuickBooks experience, a solid understanding of U.S. GAAP, and experience supporting accounting operations within a manufacturing or technology environment. Experience with ERP migrations, Oracle EBS, and M&A/acquired-entity accounting is highly preferred.

    Key Responsibilities

    Full-Cycle Accounting

    • Manage full-cycle accounting activities in QuickBooks, including general ledger maintenance, journal entries, and account reconciliations.
    • Process vendor invoices/accounts payable (AP) and customer invoices/accounts receivable (AR) accurately and timely.
    • Process vendor payments and manage payment schedules in accordance with contractual terms.
    • Perform regular bank account and general ledger reconciliations.
    • Prepare and post monthly accruals, provisions, and adjusting journal entries.
    • Support an accurate and timely month-end close.
    • Maintain compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable internal accounting policies.

    Payroll & Tax Compliance

    • Calculate and process payroll for approximately 19 employees directly through QuickBooks according to the applicable payroll schedule.
    • Calculate and remit applicable federal, state, and local payroll taxes.
    • Prepare required payroll-related filings and ensure compliance with statutory deadlines.

    Financial Reporting

    • Prepare monthly management reports and financial summaries for accounting and finance leadership.
    • Ensure financial information is accurate, complete, and properly documented.

    ERP Transition & Systems Support

    • Support high-level coordination and data validation activities associated with the ERP transition from QuickBooks to Oracle EBS.
    • Partner with Financial Systems and Controllership teams on:
      • ERP integration milestones
      • Data validation
      • Process documentation
      • Accounting system transition activities
    • Assist with accounting-related integration activities as needed.

    Collaboration

    • Partner effectively with accounting, finance, and financial systems teams.
    • Maintain a positive and professional working environment.
    • Demonstrate strong communication, accountability, and collaboration in all interactions.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
    • Master's degree in Accounting preferred.
    • CPA certification preferred but not required.
    • Strong hands-on experience with QuickBooks.
    • Experience with full-cycle accounting, including:
      • General ledger
      • Accounts payable
      • Accounts receivable
      • Payroll
      • Payroll taxes
      • Journal entries
      • Accruals
      • Bank reconciliations
      • Month-end close
      • Financial reporting
    • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
    • Experience supporting ERP migrations or system transitions, such as QuickBooks to Oracle EBS or a similar platform.
    • Familiarity with Oracle EBS preferred.
    • Manufacturing or technology industry experience preferred.
    • Experience within an M&A integration or acquired-entity accounting environment preferred.
    • Bilingual English/Spanish.
