We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our growing finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the month-end close process, maintaining the general ledger, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This position will partner with cross-functional teams, support audits, and help drive process improvements across the accounting function.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
Prepare and review journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledger.
Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis.
Support internal and external audits and provide audit documentation.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
Review accounting transactions to identify and resolve discrepancies.
Partner with operations and business leaders to support financial decision-making.
Develop and improve accounting processes, controls, and reporting procedures.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior accounting staff.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
4+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles.
Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP/accounting systems.
CPA or CPA candidate preferred.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Audit support and external auditor interaction.
Process improvement and internal controls.
Manufacturing, construction, distribution, technology, or professional services industry experience (depending on business needs).
