    Description

    Senior Accountant – Audit & Assurance

    A growing Seattle CPA firm is looking for someone with public accounting experience to join its team. This is a client-facing role offering exposure to a variety of accounting and financial statement engagements, with opportunities to work closely with experienced CPAs and firm leadership.

    What You'll Do

    • Prepare and assist with financial statement engagements for a variety of clients.
    • Work on compilations and review engagements from start to finish.
    • Prepare financial statements and supporting schedules in accordance with GAAP.
    • Assist with audit engagements as needed.
    • Communicate directly with clients to gather information and resolve accounting questions.
    • Prepare and review workpapers and engagement documentation.
    • Research accounting issues and assist with financial reporting matters.
    • Work closely with Managers and Partners on client engagements.
    • Assist with reviewing work prepared by Staff Accountants.
    • Help identify opportunities to improve client processes and accounting procedures.

    What We're Looking For

    • 2+ years of public accounting experience.
    • Experience with financial statement preparation.
    • Experience performing reviews and/or compilations.
    • Strong understanding of GAAP.
    • Experience working directly with clients.
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
    • CPA or CPA eligibility preferred, but not required.
    • Strong organizational and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple client engagements and meet deadlines.

    Ideal Background

    The ideal candidate will come from a public accounting/CPA firm environment and have experience beyond traditional bookkeeping or tax work.

    Someone who has worked on a combination of reviews, compilations, audits, and financial statement preparation would be a particularly strong fit.
