Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Accountant with the potential to grow into an Assistant Controller track role. This position serves as a key financial partner to a core business unit, owning financial reporting, supporting operational decision making, and driving process improvements.
This role will be heavily involved in month end close, inventory accounting, and financial analysis while also partnering with leadership to improve margins, strengthen controls, and enhance reporting visibility. The ideal candidate is both technically strong and business minded, with the ability to operate independently in a growth focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead month end and year end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with US GAAP
Manage inventory accounting including reconciliations, cycle counts, and variance analysis
Partner with business leadership to support pricing, cost management, and profitability initiatives
Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning activities
Monitor financial performance and provide actionable insights through variance analysis and reporting
Strengthen internal controls and support audit readiness including coordination with external auditors
Drive process improvements and scalable reporting to support business growth
Key Requirements
3 to 5 plus years of progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger ownership
Experience with full month end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
Exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
Inventory accounting experience including reconciliations strongly preferred
Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting best practices
Experience working in a growth oriented or private equity backed environment preferred
Advanced Excel skills including pivot tables and lookups
Ability to communicate effectively with both finance and operational leadership
