Cherry Bekaert Recruiting is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated
Senior Accountant. This role will play a key part in maintaining the integrity of financial reporting and supporting the organization’s accounting operations. The ideal candidate will have strong general ledger experience and a solid understanding of accounting principles.
Key Responsibilities- Perform and review general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead and support the month-end close process
- Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger integrity
- Provide support for internal and external audits, including documentation and schedules
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial reporting needs
Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- 2+ years of general ledger accounting experience
- CPA certification preferred (or in progress)
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities
