ABOUT THE ROLEA growing accounting and advisory firm is seeking a Senior Accountant to manage accounting operations and financial reporting for a diverse portfolio of clients, including early-stage businesses and established companies. The Senior Accountant will oversee full-cycle accounting, deliver accurate financial statements, and use automation and AI-enabled tools to improve accounting processes. The ideal candidate brings strong technical accounting knowledge, client service experience, and an interest in emerging technology.
This is a full-time, in-person position in
New York City, offering a
base salary of $90, 000 $120, 000, depending on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, PTO, wellness benefits, and a 401(k) with company matching. Equity eligibility is based on level and experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage full-cycle accounting across multiple client engagements.
- Execute month-end close activities and maintain accurate general ledgers.
- Prepare bank and balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and historical accounting cleanup.
- Prepare monthly balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Review automated accounting outputs for accuracy and completeness.
- Translate financial results into clear reporting and actionable client insights.
- Manage client communication, outstanding requests, and engagement deadlines.
- Improve accounting workflows using AI-enabled tools and automation.
- Collaborate with technology teams to enhance accounting tools and processes.
