    The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a global leader in fine art logistics, and we are looking to hire an experienced Senior Account Manager who will serve as a strategic leader and trusted advisor to high-value clients, overseeing complex logistics projects while driving account growth and profitability at the South San Francisco location.

    This role combines senior-level client relationship management, commercial leadership, and operational oversight. You will play a key role in expanding strategic accounts, mentoring junior team members, and contributing to broader business initiatives and growth strategies.

    What You’ll Do:

    Strategic Client Leadership

    • Serve as the senior point of contact for key and high-value client accounts
    • Build & maintain long-term partnerships and act as a trusted advisor on logistics strategy
    • Develop a strong understanding of client objectives to identify growth opportunities and enhance service delivery
    • Lead client meetings, presentations, and business reviews

    Revenue Growth & Account Development

    • Manage and grow a portfolio of strategic accounts, driving revenue expansion and profitability
    • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across service lines
    • Support new business development through networking, referrals, and industry engagement
    • Support leadership and contribute to pricing strategies and market positioning initiatives

    Project & Operational Oversight

    • Oversee successful execution of complex domestic and international logistics projects from inception to completion.
    • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest service standards.
    • Act as the escalation point for operational challenges and client issues.
    • Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure seamless delivery across all service areas

    Financial Ownership & Performance Management

    • Manage account financials, including quoting, billing, cost control, and margin optimization
    • Monitor & manage project profitability and implement strategic adjustments when needed
    • Achieve and exceed individual revenue targets (increased expectations aligned to seniority)
    • Provide forecasting, reporting, and performance insights to leadership

    Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure accuracy and compliance of all regulatory documentation, including CITES, NOAA, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife requirements
    • Maintain expertise in international shipping regulations and risk management/mitigation
    • Ensure all client deliverables meet legal, insurance, and company standards

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Mentor and support Account Managers and junior team members
    • Share best practices and contribute to team development
    • Provide guidance on complex accounts and support issue resolution
    • Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with senior leadership (VPs, Directors, General Manager) on key accounts and strategic initiatives
    • Collaborate with global offices to ensure service consistency and excellence
    • Support internal process improvements that increases operational efficiency and enhances client outcomes

    Quality Assurance & Continuous Improvement

    • Champion service standards and brand values
    • Analyze client feedback and implement improvements
    • Lead post-project reviews to drive operational efficiency and innovation

    General Responsibilities

    • Comply with all company policies, procedures, and Health & Safety regulations
    • Act in the best interests of the organization and its clients
    • Represent the company as a senior ambassador in all professional interactions 

    What We Are Looking For

    Education, Experience and Skills

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
    • 7–10+ years of account management experience within fine art logistics, auction houses, design, luxury services, or a related industry
    • Demonstrated success managing complex, high-value client accounts and revenue-generating portfolios
    • Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to drive account growth, profitability, and client retention
    • In-depth knowledge of logistics operations, import/export compliance, and pricing strategies
    • Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
    • Experience mentoring, coaching, or supporting junior team members
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HubSpot and Moveware is a plus (training provided)
